InvoiceNow is Singapore’s branded e-invoicing initiative that allows businesses to send invoices directly from one accounting system to another using the Peppol (Pan-European Public Procurement On-Line) network. Unlike PDF or paper invoices, InvoiceNow allows for machine-readable, real-time invoicing, reducing the need for manual data entry or email exchanges.
It is managed by IMDA and supported by the Singapore government to encourage faster and more efficient invoicing practices among SMEs and larger enterprises.
How Does InvoiceNow Work?
To use InvoiceNow, both the sender and recipient must be registered on the Peppol network. Once connected:
The invoice is created in your accounting software (e.g. Xero or QuickBooks)
It is sent instantly via the Peppol network
The recipient’s system receives and processes it automatically
No printing. No emailing. No manual input.
